We aim to make every project seamless, and these Terms are designed to protect both you and OTRT Designs. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should refrain from placing an order or using our services.
About OTRT Designs
OTRT Designs is a specialist provider of custom window furnishings, operating across Surrey, London, and surrounding areas. We offer a complete service that includes design advice, fabric selection, precise measurement, manufacture, and professional installation. Our team works closely with customers to ensure that every product is made to exact specifications, and every installation meets our high-quality standards.
We take pride in our attention to detail and our ability to tailor solutions for residential and commercial properties. Our commitment is to provide products that are functional, beautiful, and crafted to last. Because each order is bespoke, careful planning and communication between you and our team are essential to guarantee the final product meets your expectations.
Ordering and Contract Formation
You can place an order through our website, by email, over the phone, or during an in-person consultation or measurement appointment. Orders are only confirmed once we issue written acceptance, typically via email. Until such confirmation is provided, quotations and proposals are not legally binding.
Once your order has been accepted, it forms a legally binding contract between you and OTRT Designs. It is your responsibility to ensure that all details provided, including measurements, fabric choices, product finishes, and installation instructions, are accurate and complete. Any inaccuracies or incomplete information may affect product fit or performance, and OTRT Designs will not be liable for such issues.
Measurement Services
Accurate measurements are critical for bespoke window furnishings. We offer professional measurement services to guarantee the perfect fit of your products. If you choose to provide your own measurements, you accept full responsibility for their accuracy. OTRT Designs cannot be held liable for any issues resulting from incorrect customer-provided measurements, including poor fit or installation difficulties.
Our professional measurement team will guide you through every step to ensure that dimensions are precise and suitable for your chosen products. Measurements are confirmed in writing prior to manufacturing, and no changes can be made once production begins without our express agreement.
Pricing and Payment Terms
All prices are quoted in British Pounds (£) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Our quotes are valid for a limited period, as specified in the quotation document, and are based on the information you provide. Prices may change if the scope of work changes or if additional products or services are requested.
Orders typically require a
non-refundable deposit to secure your booking, with the remaining balance payable before delivery or installation, unless otherwise agreed. Payment methods include bank transfer, card payment, or any alternative agreed in writing with OTRT Designs.
For large or complex projects, staged payments may be arranged in writing. Full payment must be received before installation, and no products will be dispatched or installed without cleared funds.
Custom Products
All OTRT Designs products are bespoke and manufactured specifically to your order. Once manufacturing begins, products are non-cancellable, non-refundable, and non-returnable except in cases where a manufacturing defect is identified and verified.
Any changes to specifications after the order has been confirmed may incur additional charges and could affect delivery timelines. By confirming your order, you accept these conditions and acknowledge that bespoke products cannot be exchanged once production has started.
Delivery and Installation
Delivery and installation are coordinated with you and typically take place at the address provided at the time of order. You must ensure that our installers have safe and clear access to the property. Any obstacles, blocked access, or unsafe conditions may result in delays or additional charges.
Installation timelines provided at the time of booking are estimates. Delays may occur due to material availability, production schedules, or unforeseen logistics issues. OTRT Designs will make reasonable efforts to notify you of any changes to the scheduled delivery or installation date.
You are responsible for moving furniture or obstacles that might interfere with installation. Our team will handle products carefully, but customers must understand that minor adjustments may be required during fitting to achieve the best results.
Customer Responsibilities
To help ensure a smooth process and high-quality results, you are expected to:
- Provide accurate measurements if not using our professional measurement service.
- Confirm fabric, style, and finish choices before production begins.
- Provide safe and clear access to your property for delivery and installation.
- Report any defects or issues with delivered products within 7 days of installation.
Fulfilling these responsibilities helps guarantee that your products fit correctly and meet your expectations. Failure to meet these responsibilities may affect installation outcomes or limit warranty coverage.
Delivery Damage and Inspection
You should inspect your products immediately upon delivery and installation. Any visible damage or defects must be reported to OTRT Designs within
7 days of installation. Failure to notify us within this period may affect your ability to make a warranty or replacement claim.
Minor variations in fabric colour, texture, or pattern may occur due to lighting conditions or monitor settings. These are not considered defects and are inherent to bespoke fabric products.
Warranty and Care
We provide a
12-month warranty on manufacturing defects, applicable from the date of installation. This warranty covers issues arising directly from the manufacturing process and does not include:
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage resulting from misuse, neglect, or accidents
- Alterations or repairs carried out by unauthorised third parties
- Variations in fabric colour due to lighting or display differences
Within the warranty period, verified defects will be repaired or replaced at OTRT Designs’ discretion. Regular care and maintenance of your products are your responsibility to ensure longevity.
Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Refunds
Orders cannot be cancelled once manufacturing has commenced. Requests to cancel prior to production must be made in writing and may be subject to administrative charges.
Delivery or installation appointments can be rescheduled with at least
48 hours’ notice. Short-notice rescheduling or failed access may incur additional fees. Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within
7–14 working days following verification of eligibility under these Terms.
Liability
While OTRT Designs takes all reasonable precautions to ensure high-quality manufacturing and installation, we cannot be held liable for:
- Indirect or consequential losses, including loss of business, time, or enjoyment
- Colour variations or minor aesthetic differences due to lighting or display settings
- Problems caused by incorrect measurements provided by the customer
Our total liability for direct loss or damage is limited to the total amount paid for the relevant product or service. This does not affect liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.
Intellectual Property
All designs, images, written content, and other materials on our website and in our marketing are the property of OTRT Designs or its partners. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit these materials without prior written permission.
Data Protection and Privacy
Personal information collected during the ordering, measurement, and installation process is used exclusively for service delivery and communication. We handle your data in accordance with UK data protection laws and our Privacy Policy. By engaging our services, you consent to this processing.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or services must first be attempted to be resolved amicably. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in England and Wales.
Amendments
We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website and will take effect immediately. Continued use of our services after publication of revised Terms constitutes acceptance.
