The writing desk console top was crafted in birds eye maple veneer grown in California and bleached in Italy before reaching the UK to be made into this stunning piece of furniture.
The distinct pips of the wood, the root, beginning of a sprout give this piece a truly organic and unique grain …a gift of nature we are informed from a craftsman who really enthuses about his creations. With no less than 4 coats of high gloss Lacquer applied it give the grain great depth and character.

Fun fact: We’ve been told that the same birds eye maple wood was used in the captain’s cabin Cutty Sark.
